St. Denis Signed to 1 Year Deal

Another name to scratch off Pierre Gauthier's summer "To-Do" list today, as the Canadiens announced the signing of defenseman Frederic St. Denis to a 1-year, 2-way contract.

St. Denis, 25, developed nicely last season becoming an important member of the Hamilton Bulldogs back end. He showed reliable play at both ends of the ice, notching 23 points, and while he is likely a career AHL'er, is still quality organizational depth.

This leaves defensemen Josh Gorges and Mathieu Carle as the only two must-signs within the organization.
